Mentorship for Doulas

- Book 3 clients.

- Have at least one prenatal meeting per client.

- Attend each birth as the primary birth doula.

- Have at least one postpartum meeting per client.

- Fill out a self-evaluation for each birth.

- You can email/text your mentor with questions throughout your first three birth clients. Messages will be replied to during regular business hours.

- Access to your mentor for 12 meetings (up to 1 hour each) over the course of your mentorship (up to 2 years or through 3 births, whichever comes first). You will schedule these via your mentor’s Calendly link.

- You will meet with your mentor after you complete your service with each client to debrief about the birth, ask questions and get feedback. Birth debriefs will be scheduled with your mentor one on-one, via phone, text, or Zoom, and can last up to 1 hour. Debriefs are counted as mentorship meetings, as outlined in the above bullet point.

- This pathway comes with an accolade in conjunction with your certification that will indicate you have been through the mentorship process. (BBCD Mentored Doula)

- If the certification births are not complete within 2 years, the mentee may renew their mentorship with approval from the mentors. The investment price will be the going rate at that time.
